Those affected adversely by the sharp rise of petroleum are the middle class individuals. This working class has been hit the hardest, with many finding it difficult to finance their monthly expenditures. It is important to bring down the rate because the salary growth is not in sync with the growing prices. In order to bring some relief to the salaried class it becomes imperative to cut on the rate of fuel.
If gas pricing is reduced, people will stop crowding gas stations to fill tanks to maximum. This will help in even distribution of petrol and its products to every consumer.
Monopolistic companies will have no choice but to sell gas at a lowered amount. Today when fuel price is high, every oil company is taking advantage of the situation by selling at an even higher rate. In this case it is the customers who are left with no choice but to buy.
Lowering gas costs is also likely to help the government by bringing down cutting down on inflation.
