Who-Controls-Gas-Prices      Open market controls the rise or fall of fuel prices depending on its supply and demand in the worldwide market. Much of this is dependent on hypothesis that can be of an impending war, varying need for oil in different nations and OPEC oil production. People with contracts of oil companies based on their guess work decide whether to increase or decrease the petroleum rates. More..

What Gases Make The Sun

Sun is the centre of our universe, literally! While this is the star that has all the celestial bodies; the planets, asteroids, comets, revolving around it, the object of our attention remains a mystery still.

Research is on to gather more information about the sun. Because of the nearness of this brightest star to the earth, scientists find it relatively easy to study the structure and composition of the sun.  The sun mainly has
Hydrogen
Helium and
Oxygen
as the gases found abundantly in its atmosphere.

Helium is the gas abounding in quantity. 64% of helium is followed by 34% of hydrogen; while oxygen is only 1%.
Scientists are showing a keen interest in studying helium because of its nature to diffuse in the solar interior. It has been scientifically proven that helium’s diffusion process speeds up with time. This fusion is likely to convert helium into a heavier material. This heavy material will make the sun grow bigger, ultimately devouring the earth!
Hydrogen, on the other hand, is what makes the sun glow. Four hydrogen nuclei combine together to form one helium nucleus, which generates energy in the sun giving it that glow. At the same time this process also helps in the release of light and heat.

The other gases found on the sun are Carbon and Nitrogen. These are not as abundantly found though. The level of these two gases is less than even one per cent.
