There are some techniques using which you can actually jump start your car. However, you will need additional help for this, and also once the car starts, you should make sure that it does not get switched off again.
You will need another car with a running battery for this. The second car should be in good shape. Make sure you wear gloves and get the second car aligned with your car. The second car should have jumper cables in it. Some cars do not have it. So, make sure before hand. Connect your car’s jumper cables with the second car’s cables and let it charge for five to ten minutes.
Before doing all this, check the battery first. Batteries contain an electrolyte solution and if this solution is frozen, then do not try to jump start the car. The battery will explode in such a case. Also, ensure that the batteries of both the cars are of the same voltage. Attach the cables correctly. The battery’s positive terminal is usually covered with cables and the negative is exposed. So, connect the cable of the dead car to the battery of the second car’s positive terminal.
