Alternative Fuel Disadvantages
Alternative energy would seem like an ideal choice for the current demands of the day, like conserving the planet, bringing down fuel costs, preserving the fuels and so on. However, though alternative fuel has several advantages, it does have its disadvantages too. These disadvantages are not meant to disprove or discourage a concept, but they do make sense in their own way and that has to be considered. |

Unfortunately when it comes to storage, alternative energy cannot be stored in the same manner that we store gas or coal. Storage process is extremely important for fuel as one may never know when they need more of it. Alternative energy is mainly created through nature’s sources like wind, and these resources are not very reliable at the end of the day. We need reliability to carry out daily functions of our lives which, in turn, are driven by reliability.
For transportation, hybrid cars which work on alternative energy have been invented. However, these are far fetched and are still being developed. These cars are capable of generating power from their braking system and do not need recharging. However, it will take time for this technology to come into full effect. Until then we have to depend on available fuel sources.
Alternative energy as of now is a very expensive deal. It costs much more than fuel, and also needs elaborate infrastructure. In addition, making alternative fuel is a time consuming process. Fossil fuels are easily available, and the production and output time are much less comparatively. As of now, the world has no choice but to depend on fossil fuels until a day comes when the world is forced to depend on alternative energy, which is good for the environment at the end of the day.
